West Richland is in line for not one, not two, not three, but…four new restaurants!
And, as the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business reports, all four are from established, local eateries expanding to the growing city. Here’s a look at who’s planning to move in:
Tapp’d is owned by the same folks who run Tri City Taps in Pasco. Unlike that spot, though, the new location in West Richland will be family-friendly, not just for adults. It’ll have a full bar and kitchen, and will offer self-serve beers, ciders, and wines with a wristband.
It’s moving into the spot that both Tumbleweeds and The Chicken Shack formerly held at 4390 W. Van Giesen St. The owners expect it to be open in the next couple weeks. You can follow their progress on Facebook.
Next in line to open will be Miss Tamale, which already has a location at The Parkway in Richland. The new spot will be at 6447 Keene Rd. in West Richland, in the same strip mall where Dutch Bros recently opened. (pictured below)
This local restaurant is known for its tamales, of course, but also serves Mexican staples like tacos, burritos, tortas, enchiladas, and more. They’re expecting to open around May 1st, and you can also follow their progress on Facebook.
La Bella Vita is planning to open a new restaurant near the intersection of Keene Rd. and Belmont Blvd. — not too far from where Miss Tamale is opening. That’s a growing part of West Richland. It began with the city administration facilities, and then Richland School District opened Leona Libby Middle School. Businesses followed — SunMart, Firehouse Subs, HAPO credit union, Dutch Bros, and now these two new restaurants.
La Bella Vita’s current restaurant is at 1515 George Washington Way in Richland and comes with a strong McGee family recommendation. 😊 No word on an opening date — it’s probably gonna be a while since their land purchase isn’t due to close until May. Follow Le Bella Vita on Facebook for more info.
Last, but certainly not least, Kennewick’s Aki Sushi is planning to open a second restaurant at 1567 Bombing Range Rd. They’ll be in the same strip mall area as Shannon’s Grooming and Papa Murphy’s Pizza — another area that has seen a lot of business growth in recent years.
It sounds like some remodeling is planned, so Aki Sushi is probably also a while off. They don’t seem to post much on Facebook, but you can like/follow them here.
So that’s four restaurants for West Richland — two should be open in the next couple months, and two others that are still in the planning process. But it’s definitely a sign of the growth happening around the city. There are also a lot of new homes going in, mostly on the west side of West Richland.
