One of the biggest home events of the year in the Tri-Cities area is less than a month away! I’m talking about the annual Home & Garden Show at the TRAC in Pasco, a favorite of the McGee family every year.

This year, it’s happening on the following dates and times:

  • Friday, February 23: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Saturday, February 24: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Sunday, February 25: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

It’s a really great event. You’ll find dozens of home-related businesses displaying their products and services — from landscape designers to jacuzzi retailers to window/glass companies, cleaning services, heating and air conditioner providers, lawn care services and so much more! My husband and I like to set aside at least a few hours each year and browse every aisle slowly, talking to the companies whose services we might need. We’ve hired landsdcapers, window cleaning services, carpet cleaners and more after walking through the Home & Garden Show and meeting and learning about the excellent local providers. (Pro tip: A great many of the companies who exhibit each year are offering great discounts and special offers that are only available during the show itself.)

In addition to the company booths and exhibits, there are seminars on a variety of topics throughout the day — no extra charge for those.

Entrance to the Home & Garden Show is $6 per person (kids 12 and under are free), and you get a $1 discount if you bring a canned good to donate to the Salvation Army. Readmission is free all weekend once you’ve paid.

Cari McGee

My husband and I came to the Tri-Cities in 1994, and we thought it would be a temporary stop on our way to larger cities. He was a television sports anchor at the time, and we planned to go wherever the "next step up" took us. Twenty-plus years later, we're still here and we've loved every minute of it! We have two children now, and we've found the Tri-Cities area is a wonderful place to raise a family. It's a great place to do outdoorsy things -- I like to hike Badger Mountain or run along the river path. I also love reading ... by a cozy fire in the winter or a beautiful picture window in the summer (with the A/C on!). I've been a licensed Realtor since 2004. I earned my managing broker's license in 2016, which means I can run my own brokerage, or create a team of real estate agents and supervise them, which is exactly what I did when I formed the Cari McGee Real Estate Team in 2018! We have administrative and marketing personnel, as well as additional agents to serve you. I became a director of the Tri-Cities Association of Realtors Board of Directors in 2016, became Secretary/Treasurer of the organization, and was elected to Vice President in 2019.
