Stepped on the scale this week to find that I have lost 30 pounds (mostly since the beginning of February, which is when I really started trying). I have 40 more to go, so that according to the BMI charts, I will be in the normal range. Pretty exciting, both in terms of being healthier and being able to wear cuter clothes.

But, like everyone cautions, my life is not magically better because I’m thinner. I continued to get flack over the Foreclosure Safari post of a couple weeks ago (no one added a comment, they just told me they didn’t like it), and so I made some adjustments to the post – changed a phrase or two. I hope the objections will stop now.

On to the week –

Wow – it’s not always easy to do what you think God wants you to do. Today at church I heard that our Youth Minister is leaving his position and doesn’t know where God will lead him and his family next. THAT’s faith. And in the paper today, I read about this Pasco vet who is off to join a convent. Wow.

A couple got married at the Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo this week. I wish I would have been invited. They had cotton candy at the reception! Yum!

Look -it’s not just the stuff of dreams and movies – real people win the Lotto, like this Pasco woman.

That’s it! Have a great week!

Cari McGee

My husband and I came to the Tri-Cities in 1994, and we thought it would be a temporary stop on our way to larger cities. He was a television sports anchor at the time, and we planned to go wherever the "next step up" took us. Twenty-plus years later, we're still here and we've loved every minute of it! We have two children now, and we've found the Tri-Cities area is a wonderful place to raise a family. It's a great place to do outdoorsy things -- I like to hike Badger Mountain or run along the river path. I also love reading ... by a cozy fire in the winter or a beautiful picture window in the summer (with the A/C on!). I've been a licensed Realtor since 2004. I earned my managing broker's license in 2016, which means I can run my own brokerage, or create a team of real estate agents and supervise them, which is exactly what I did when I formed the Cari McGee Real Estate Team in 2018! We have administrative and marketing personnel, as well as additional agents to serve you. I became a director of the Tri-Cities Association of Realtors Board of Directors in 2016, became Secretary/Treasurer of the organization, and was elected to Vice President in 2019.
