How all over the Olympics are you? Like Disneyland and Christmas and making shapes out of clouds, the Olympics are one of those things that get better if you experience them from a kid’s point of view. I’m old enough to remember Olga Korbut, and Nadia Comaneci, and the ’84 Olympics were in my hometown. The next Olympics I was a full-fledged adult, and I would be hard-pressed to name any of the big personalities that came out of those years. Anyway, I am digging this go around, especially the Opening Ceremonies and the swimming. I LOVE the swimming.
But apparently, some people are digging selling things that you can’t really sell – like this Richland homeowner. I love his justification that the cloud is over his house, so he should be able to sell it. He has a real estate point, you do own the air space above your land. I can’t remember hoe high up the ownership reaches, though. Plus, he makes me think of a good friend who, when reprimanded for taking time off work to get his hair cut, rejoined “My hair grows on company time, why shouldn’t I get it cut on company time?”
In case you forgot about this post, this KEPR story spotlights THE place to get cheap gas in town.
AND, as big Ace of Cakes fans, the McGee family loved this story from last week. Mary Alice used to LIVE in the Tri-Cities, which just goes to show you, we produce quality people here.
American Idol, baby!! Local auditions took place this week, in Pasco. Look for Elysia Villanueva during the early shows next season. Maybe she’ll go all the way to Hollywood??!!!
Guess what? That’s all. Have a great week!
