I hate it when I don’t find time to post during the course of a week, and so I have back-to-back Links Back posts on display.  This week was one of those weeks. Hubby was out of town, I didn’t get my workouts in, I tried to donate blood and they got the wrong vein – aaaaargh!

But the big news of the week was the stimulus package and what it does/doesn’t include.  Warning: slight rant approaching which might betray my political leanings –

Many buyers wants to know if they’ll get money back in the form of a tax credit if they buy a house and if so, how much? and when will it go into effect? And they’re not doing anything until they know.  Have we become a nation of people who won’t make a move until we know what the government is going to do for us?  I find that reprehensible.  If you have found the house that’s right for you and you can afford it, BUY IT, before someone else who ISN’T on the fence snags it instead.  And then, if you’re the kind of person whose been waiting to see what the government will do, you’re probably going to blame the government because you lost out on the house you wanted.  For crying out loud – buy the house already.

Thanks for indulging me.

Now, all links below refer to the much vaunted stimulus package as it progressed from its save-the-world heights on Sunday to its current golly-gee-it-better-work status.

There might be some repeated quotes in there.  One of my favorite things to do with an author like Anne Rivers Siddons is count the number of times she uses the words ‘miasma’ or ‘pentimento’ in her books.  Count how many times they use ‘major milestone’ and ‘recovery’ in the stories.

Have a great week!

Cari McGee

My husband and I came to the Tri-Cities in 1994, and we thought it would be a temporary stop on our way to larger cities. He was a television sports anchor at the time, and we planned to go wherever the "next step up" took us. Twenty-plus years later, we're still here and we've loved every minute of it! We have two children now, and we've found the Tri-Cities area is a wonderful place to raise a family. It's a great place to do outdoorsy things -- I like to hike Badger Mountain or run along the river path. I also love reading ... by a cozy fire in the winter or a beautiful picture window in the summer (with the A/C on!). I've been a licensed Realtor since 2004. I earned my managing broker's license in 2016, which means I can run my own brokerage, or create a team of real estate agents and supervise them, which is exactly what I did when I formed the Cari McGee Real Estate Team in 2018! We have administrative and marketing personnel, as well as additional agents to serve you. I became a director of the Tri-Cities Association of Realtors Board of Directors in 2016, became Secretary/Treasurer of the organization, and was elected to Vice President in 2019.
