Look at us, would ya?!? 🥰
For the second straight year, Kennewick has been named one of the best places to live in the U.S.A.! That’s according to Livability’s Top 100 Best Places to Live in the US in 2025 list.
Kennewick earned a 697 “Quality of Life” score, placing us right ahead of Eugene, OR, and right behind Colorado Springs, CO. Two other Washington cities made the list: Vancouver with a score of 731, and Spokane with a score of 683.
As I said when it happened last year, I feel like this kind of honor is really for the whole Tri-Cities, not just for whichever specific city is listed. In fact, Livability’s write-up even mentions non-Kennewick attractions like the Pasco Farmers Market and the Manhattan Project National Historical Park in Richland.
Here’s a bit more about what Livability had to say about Kennewick and the Tri-Cities area:
The Tri-Cities also have many outdoor amenities, making it easy to get out and enjoy nature — whether it’s hiking Badger Mountain or seeing the wildflowers that freckle the Candy Mountain Trail. Of course, getting out on the water to paddleboard or float is a no-brainer come summer since the Tri-Cities region is located at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers. The city also has a noteworthy wine scene with more than 200 wineries within a one-hour radius.
If you’re thinking about moving to Kennewick this year, or anywhere in the Tri-Cities, Livability does a pretty solid job of introducing this wonderful area. I should mention, though, that they missed the mark when it mentions local home prices. It says the area has a median home price of about $381,000. I don’t know when or where they sourced that, but it’s been a while since our median price has been that low. We’ve been in the $420K to $430K range over the past six months.
That objection aside, it’s always great to see Kennewick and the Tri-Cities get this kind of recognition!
