Extreme Home Makeover in the Tri-Cities?

By in Tri-Cities, WA with 6 Comments

Rumor has it (I feel like Perez Hilton) that the ABC show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition might be coming to the Tri-Cities. Wow!

This is by no means set in stone, but how cool will it be if it’s true? And why shouldn’t they come?

After all – we have a local ABC affiliate, KVEW – TV.

We have great weather, so they won’t get rained or snowed on while rebuilding the house.

We have a Sears, where they like to get all of the stuff for the house.

We have fantastic local builders and construction crews who can help out.

And, unfortunately, we have families in need.

I’ll keep my eyes peeled and my ears open and report back on the scoop.

My husband and I came to the Tri-Cities in 1994, and we thought it would be a temporary stop on our way to larger cities. He was a television sports anchor at the time, and we planned to go wherever the "next step up" took us. Twenty-plus years later, we're still here and we've loved every minute of it! We have two children now, and we've found the Tri-Cities area is a wonderful place to raise a family. It's a great place to do outdoorsy things -- I like to hike Badger Mountain or run along the river path. I also love reading ... by a cozy fire in the winter or a beautiful picture window in the summer (with the A/C on!). I've been a licensed Realtor since 2004. I earned my managing broker's license in 2016, which means I can run my own brokerage, or create a team of real estate agents and supervise them, which is exactly what I did when I formed the Cari McGee Real Estate Team in 2018! We have administrative and marketing personnel, as well as additional agents to serve you. I became a director of the Tri-Cities Association of Realtors Board of Directors in 2016, became Secretary/Treasurer of the organization, and was elected to Vice President in 2019. 1. I have nominated my family. I have also had 26 nominations sent in on my behalf so far. Please visit my blog at http://www.pink-n-sparkly.blogspot.com to read my story. Please help my family. We haven’t had huge community response, been in the news, or anything like that. We are just a regular family who has had many hardships, medical problems and heartaches. If you have any questions, visit my blog for more information.

    Michelle-
I just visited your blog. Your family’s story is heartbreaking. I hope your home is chosen if the Home Makeover crew comes to the Tri-Cities. I’ll help spread the word and also keep my fingers crossed!

Hi how are you doing? I’m currently a student attending a Construction Trades course at Tri Tech Skills Center in Kennewick, Washington (part of the Tri-Cities). And my class was interested in volunteering to assist a family in need. If you could help us come in to contact with Home Improvement, it would be greatly appreciated.
