Amici’s: Restuarant Review

Finally, Friday, and a wonderful little place called Amici’s. Located at 94 Lee Blvd., (GW Way to Lee, turn east, then turn left into the parking lot) this small little restaurant brings big tastes to your mouth.

The menu isn’t extensive, but everything they offer is delicious.  I usually have the manicotti in the winter.  In the summer, though, I like to order the bow-tie Ceasar pasta salad. Oh, yum!  The house salad is refreshing, and any restaurant that gives you bread shoots way up on the Cari-likes-you scale.  It’s just standard warm loaves with butter but it’s PERFECT for absorbing the extra sauce on your plate.

And as for desserts – hello!…cheesecake and tiramisu and something chocolate-y, too.  I always come away completely stuffed.

One nice extra they do – your complimentary water will have a cucumber slice in it, as opposed to a lemon or lime wedge.  It makes the water taste sufficiently different, almost crisp, if one can use that word about water!

The dining room is small, and can be crowded.  They have tables outside, and you can see the Columbia River from the deck.  In the late spring and during the summer, that’s the ideal place to sit.

The service is generally good.  Once our party had a waiter who kept bringing us more bread when all we wanted was a drink refill, and then he overcharged us (added someone else’s entree on to our tab), and he didn’t bring back the right amount of change.  But, as a rule, the wait staff is fine.

Hours are complicated, so write them down –

11-2 Moday through Friday

4-8 Monday, 4-9:30 Tuesday-Thursday and 4-10 on Friday

Saturdays 11:30-10, Sundays 5-9

My husband and I came to the Tri-Cities in 1994, and we thought it would be a temporary stop on our way to larger cities. He was a television sports anchor at the time, and we planned to go wherever the "next step up" took us. Twenty-plus years later, we're still here and we've loved every minute of it! We have two children now, and we've found the Tri-Cities area is a wonderful place to raise a family. It's a great place to do outdoorsy things -- I like to hike Badger Mountain or run along the river path. I also love reading ... by a cozy fire in the winter or a beautiful picture window in the summer (with the A/C on!). I've been a licensed Realtor since 2004. I earned my managing broker's license in 2016, which means I can run my own brokerage, or create a team of real estate agents and supervise them, which is exactly what I did when I formed the Cari McGee Real Estate Team in 2018! We have administrative and marketing personnel, as well as additional agents to serve you. I became a director of the Tri-Cities Association of Realtors Board of Directors in 2016, became Secretary/Treasurer of the organization, and was elected to Vice President in 2019.
