An agent from another brokerage (she is her own broker and works with one other agent) told a colleague of mine this week, “Our market is extremely sluggish right now.”
Really? Well, I suppose since we’re down from our May high of 359 under contracts to 293 July under contracts, we could argue that we’re slower than we were two months ago.
But, we’re up 7 under contracts from June and up 35 under contracts from July 2006.
And, 20% of the inventory went under contract in July and in 2005 (our market’s best year ever) only 18.5% of the inventory went under contract.
So, maybe she’s unsure of the definition of sluggish?
