The 13th annual West Richland Veteran’s Day Parade is coming up on Saturday, November 10, 2012. It’ll begin at its traditional 9:30 am start time.
The parade will begin at the intersection of Grosscup Road and Van Giesen and travel along Van Giesen eastbound until the end at 38th Avenue. You can watch almost anywhere along the parade route, but you might enjoy the bleachers that will be setup in Flat Top Park.
After the parade, there’s an awards ceremony and chili feed at Flat Top Park.
Road Closures
To accommodate the parade, Van Giesen Street will be closed in a couple spots on November 10th. From 7 am to 11 am, the section from 62nd Avenue to Grosscup will be closed. And from 9:30 am to 11 am, it’ll be closed between 38th Avenue and Grosscup.
Those times are estimates and detour signs will be posted.
