It’s almost here!
The 2017 Tri-Cities Parade of Homes begins soon. Here’s everything you need to know to get the most out of this annual showcase of some of the best builders and homes the Tri-Cities has to offer. There’s also information below about the super-popular Chefs on Parade event.
Parade of Homes Tickets
Ticket sales begin on Monday, September 4, at all Circle K stores in the Tri-Cities. They’re just $10 each and you’ll get a beautiful, full-color magazine that details every home in the parade this year, including information about the builder, photo(s) and/or a floor plan and more.
The magazine also has a map of all the homes and turn-by-turn directions so you can get from one home to the next as conveniently as possible.
Parade of Homes Dates and Times
The parade itself is open five times over the course of eight days. Here’s the schedule:
- Saturday and Sunday, September 9 & 10 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Wednesday, September 13 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Saturday and Sunday, September 16 & 17 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Tip: Wear comfortable shoes because it’ll be crowded at some of the homes, and you may have to park a bit down the road away from the houses. Also keep in mind that some of the homes will be in new development/construction areas, so there might be dirt, too. Most homes will have booties for you to wear over your shoes. Some houses/builders are sticklers about wearing the booties, and some make you take off your shoes and you must wear the booties on your feet. So plan accordingly when choosing your footwear!
Chefs on Parade
The popular Chefs on Parade event is back again this year, with 10 local chefs featuring their signature dishes in 10 homes from the Parade of Homes. Five homes/chefs will be featured on the first night, and five more on the second night. The schedule this year is as follows:
- Thursday, September 14 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- Friday, September 15 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Unfortunately, tickets are already sold out for Chefs on Parade.
