Seller's Market in Tri-Cities, WA Forecast

Posted on Feb 28, 2009 by in Tri-Cities Market

Just yesterday I touched on this possibility in my stats post for the month.  This morning an article in the Tri-City Herald confirmed my suspicions.

The headline reads like the story is about lending only, but a couple of real estate brokers are interviewed, as well as Jeff Losey, the head of our local Home Builder’s Association.

My favorite quote come from my broker, Dave Retter -

“The problem is everybody wants to wait until the bottom hits. When do we know the bottom’s hit? On the way up,” he said.

EXACTLY.  I know some buyers waiting until the precise right moment.  However, they won’t know when it’s been the right moment until after the moment is gone.

This isn’t a “Ra-Ra, buy today!” message.  This is simply a snapshot of our market at this point in time, and theories about where it’s going.  Enjoy the article.
