Maybe she’s just better looking than I am

One of the agents from the Kennewick office sought me out the other day to let me know my marketing is working well for her.

That’s right…MY MARKETING is bringing her clients!  Her client chose her from the agent pics and bios on the main page of our agency’s site, but uses my site to find out all kinds of info.

She said he told her, “That Cari McGee, her web site has EVERYTHING.” So, of course my question for her was, “Why did he then choose you and not me?”  She shrugged and said, “I guess I’m just better looking?!” We laughed and I told her I was glad that my web site helped.

I am truly glad.  I’ve always been a believer in the more knowledge the better, regardless of the undertaking.  So, the fact that I’m sharing info through my web site and blog and helping people I don’t even know make informed decisions, thrills me!  Even if they use an agent who is better looking than I am!

Whoa. Hold on. You mean … there are local real estate agents better-looking than you?

I think good marketing and design can sometimes lead people to believe your too busy and they don’t want to bother you.

Great point, Will. I hadn’t thought about that. I think people are hesitant sometimes to contact someone they view as super busy, or as only selling higher-end properties when they’ve got a smaller house to sell that might take a while.
