Links Back to the Week That Was 12/21

Well, first off, it’s been FREEZING COLD! For crying out loud – the lows have been in the negatives and the highs have been single digits.  THAT’S not a comfortable way to live, I tell you!  It was worse in Spokane, and near tragic in Seattle.

And in case you had some bright ideas about running a generator inside, or hooking up a space heater for the dog house, the Herald offered some better options.

I remember when I was a little girl, asking my dad if there was ANYWHERE in the US where I could live and not have to worry about tornadoes or hurricanes or earthquakes.  Dad shrugged his shoulders and said, “Some corner of Missouri, maybe?”  Well, Dad, this one’s for you.

My beloved Matt McGee found this about snow removal in Richland this week, and its the kind of thing I like to know about.

And, ending on a good note – the Tri-Cities actually gained a few jobs recently.

Stay safe and warm, friends!

Cari: Thanks for the pickup on the Death Map post (“Well, Dad, this one’s for you”). It sounds as if your Dad knew about the looks of the Death Map way back then. Happy holidays.
