Three Cheers for Lochkeed Martin

Posted on Apr 28, 2009 by Cari McGee in Tri-Cities, WA

Lockheed Martin got the contract after all! In January I wrote about the delay and then supposed resolution (but not really) of the Mission Support Contract out at Hanford. This is great news because it means JOBS, which means people can buy houses, which means our corner of Washington is still economically healthy!

Happy Birthday to my college roommate, Susanne!  She was (and still is) a blast! Back to the links – This is sad, and interesting.  A Kennewick couple lost their home to a forelcosure auction.  They claim the bank didn’t tell them the process had progressed to this point.  I, for one, believe them. I know [...]

I’ve been repeating this all week until I felt like I was blue in the face.  But, here’s the scoop – The Tri-Cities is one of only 27 cities in the nation which is not mired in a recession.  Very cool, huh? I told you you needed to buy investment properties – http://www.tri-cityherald.com/kennewick_pasco_richland/story/541278.html And everyone [...]

We're Gonna Be On TV!

Posted on Apr 15, 2009 by Cari McGee in Buyers

I’ve mentioned before that one thing I love about the Tri-Cities is that we’re still small enough to get all excited when we show up on television.  Tonight on TLC’s “My First Home”, a Kennewick couple buys (what else?) their first house. The show follows the couple as they work with their agent (not me) [...]

Wooo-hoo! My birthday was on Wednesday, so I’ve been really busy chowing down on cake and haven’t been looking too hard for links.  But I did find a few – On Thursday, money for jobs was announced. Over Friday and Saturday, over 2400 people showed up for a job fair held at the Shilo Inn [...]

Wow – musical groups I’ve actually heard of are headlining this year.  This really makes me feel old. Scheduled for the stage are; Clint Black The Herald wrote this about him – Kicking off fair week will be Clint Black on Aug. 25. The 47-year-old country music singer-songwriter has been busy running his record label, [...]

Have You Ever Thought About Being a Landlord?

Posted on Apr 2, 2009 by Cari McGee in Tri-Cities Market

Because now is the time to put your thinking cap on and do so. In the Tri-City Herald today there was written confirmation regarding rumors we’ve been hearing for a few months now. There are hardly any apartments available to rent. Occupancy rates are extremely high, and in one apartment complex, they’re even renting out [...]
